Phuket is a well-liked vacation vacation spot for Australian vacationers

An Australian girl has died in a collision between two jet skis on Thailand’s resort island of Phuket.

Emily Jayne Collie, 20, suffered neck and shoulder accidents within the accident at Kata Seashore late on Sunday.

Local media reported her companion was driving the opposite jet ski, and that daylight reflecting off the water had made it troublesome to see.

Lifeguards couldn’t resuscitate Ms Collie and he or she was pronounced lifeless on arrival at a close-by hospital.

An Australian consular spokesman instructed the BBC: “The Division of Overseas Affairs and Commerce is offering consular help to the household of an Australian girl who died in Phuket.”

In line with her Fb web page, Ms Collie was from the small city of Kyabram, within the state of Victoria, and had studied at Charles Sturt College.

Her companion, recognized by Australian media as Tom Keating, suffered minor accidents.

Mr Keating’s sister, Bree Lyon, instructed Fairfax Media her household was “completely devastated” about Ms Collie’s demise.

“I really like how you really liked my brother, the way in which you regarded into his eyes with nothing however pure love, it was the truest factor I’ve ever been grateful to witness,” she stated.
